Congratulating the 26 officers, RTI Head Victor Chetty said it was befitting for them to be promoted and it was first in the history of RTI and the KZN Department of Transport to appoint so many officials in the management level.
“I welcome you all to junior management. You deserve to be appointed. Also, as part of recognising Women’s Month, we appreciate that women empowerment is another important aspect in the Department’s development programme.
So, for us as RTI, it is an honour to have so many women leading and becoming visible in the management. You have worked hard and done your part in terms of your recruitment process, so I therefore say congratulations to you all and let’s devote ourselves as a team towards making the Department of Transport a sector of Transportation that is great again,” said Chetty.
