Information is sought by Cofimvaba detectives who are investigating a case of Business Robbery, Murder, and Attempted Murder, after the robbery of the Discount Supermarket in High Street, Cofimvaba.
It is alleged that on 25 August 2021 at about 17:35, eleven armed men entered the Discount Supermarket in High Street, Cofimvaba, and demanded money.
The Red Guard Security responded swiftly after the alarm was raised by an employee and an on arrival at the supermarket, crossfire was exchanged between the robbers and the security personnel.
One of the robbers, a 35-year-old male was fatally wounded and passed away on the scene. His identity could be established because he was in possession of his Identity document.
The other ten assailants then fled with an undisclosed amount of money and are still at large.
The community is requested to come forward with any information that can lead to the apprehension and arrest of these perpetrators.
