Four suspects arrested in murder of Bolobedu taxi owner

Four suspects were arrested on Friday for allegedly being behind the murder of Bolobedu taxi owner and his companion.

One suspect was injured from a gunshot after he tried to drive over a police officer with his BMW in his attempt to evade arrest.

The suspect was arrested after a high-speed chase and was found with a prohibited firearm and ammunition.

During the arrest, the police recovered two Toyota Quantums used in the crime, a 9mm pistol with two live ammunitions and BMW 3 series.

The suspects are alleged to be taxi operators are all linked to a taxi association in the area, are expected to appear in Bolobedu magistrate court.
