Yesterday police divers from Durban and Port Shepstone Search And Rescue, K9 SAR and Metro Police SAR were called out to Magabeni for a drowning following a cleansing ritual in the Mgababa river near the Hlanzeni.
The body of a 22-year-old male was recovered.
Local authorities were on the scene of the recovery of the body and will be investigating the matter.
