Screams for assistance led Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) to an 18 year old male who had been raped by robbery suspects in Oakford, KZN a short while ago (Saturday, 25/09/2021).
A resident in the area contacted RUSA for assistance at 15:21 after hearing a male calling out for assistance. Reaction Officers converged on the area and discovered the teenager in a bush off the main road. His hands and legs were bound with cable ties. His pants was pulled down. Officers freed him from his restraints.
The victim explained that he was walking along the main road when he was accosted by three individuals. One person produced a knife while his accomplices searched him for valuables. After they discovered that he had nothing of value on him, the robbers dragged him into a bush where they bound his hands and legs. They then covered his head before pulling down his pants. Two suspects held the victim down while the third suspect allegedly raped him. The robbers then fled in an unknown direction.
The teenager is currently receiving medical attention.
