A 33 year old man was rescued by his family after he was found hanging from a rope in his kitchen this afternoon (Monday).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance at approximately 19:03 requesting assistance for the semi-conscious male at his residence in Tongaat, KZN. On arrival, he was stabilised by Medics.
According to his family, the male called several relatives to bid them farewell. They rushed to his residence where they found the security gate unlocked. Upon entering the house they found him hanging in his kitchen. His brother cut the rope with a kitchen knife and contacted RUSA for assistance.
The man was transported to hospital by ambulance.
