Mazda Motor Corporation today announced an expansion of its SUV Lineup from 2022 onwards

Mazda Southern Africa is excited to share in the expansion of the SUV Lineup and soon offer a diverse choice of options to customers in the well-liked SUV segment. Whilst the Mazda CX-50 will only be available in the North American market, other models are being evaluated for the local introduction. The Mazda CX-60, CX-70, CX-80, and CX-90 are potential options for introduction into the South African market. The final Lineup of the SUVs, including available derivatives, will only be confirmed closer to the launch date. Earlier this year, Mazda Southern Africa also announced an upgrade to its CX-5 range. With a further design evolution and several product improvements, the Mazda CX-5 will continue to form part of the Mazda SUV Lineup and will remain an exciting and relevant option to customers.

Mazda Corporation’s bespoke approach towards Carbon Neutrality and Electrification of powertrains takes market-specific needs, the level of infrastructure development, and legal frameworks of different global markets into account, this allows Mazda Southern Africa to introduce these exciting new products to our customers as the SA Market itself moves toward carbon neutrality and electrification. Internal combustion engines, that currently power the large majority of vehicles sold in South Africa, will continue to be offered. In parallel, Mazda Southern Africa will continuously evaluate alternative powertrains and will communicate confirmed details closer to the launch time.

In line with our global ambition, Mazda Southern Africa continues its efforts to build a strong Mazda brand with a consistent improvement of the Mazda brand value through investment in product, technologies, and customer experience all of which are based on a unique interpretation of our Japanese premium positioning.
