MasterDrive will be hosting two virtual training sessions on hijack management.

Join MasterDrive for a virtual hijack management training session

As we head toward the end of the year, we should not just anticipate some time off and the other benefits that come with this. The end of the year also comes with an increase in crime including carjacking. Consequently, learning how to avoid this traumatic experience as far as is possible or what to do should it be unavoidable, is an important task to complete before we reach the end of 2021.

Stats from the festive season of 2020, revealed that hijacking increased by 11% and 9% more trucks were hijacked during that particular festive period. As we settle into the relaxed mode that often comes with the end of the year, we cannot say the same for criminals. Instead, complacency from motorists makes their ‘job’ that much easier.

Whether it is your fleet vehicles or a skill that you want to empower your employees with, upskilling or refreshing your team with the knowledge to equip them in one of these situations is a good way to end off the year. It is essential to remember that irrespective of the time of year, criminals are still active and a very real threat.

It is for this reason, that MasterDrive will be hosting two virtual training sessions on hijack management. These sessions will enable attendees to increase their awareness of their surroundings and best equip drivers to avoid potentially dangerous situations.

Often, however, being carjacked is beyond one’s control. In this scenario, it takes a specific skill set to best increase your chances of removing yourself safely from the situation. From the moment that you stop your vehicle to the moment that the criminal drives away from you, each move needs to be done with deliberate intent. The virtual session will cover all of this and more.

These virtual sessions will take place on 3 and 9 November. For more information on the session and pricing, please contact MasterDrive on 086 110 0618 or email info@masterdrive.co.za
