The Deputy Minister of Police Mr. Cassel Mathale will on Saturday, 6 November 2021, host a Ministerial Imbizo on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape province.
As part of the South African Police Services’ ongoing efforts to rid communities of the scourge of Gender-Based Violence, the community engagement seeks to provide Gqeberha residents, especially women, children, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community with an opportunity to engage the police Ministry and SAPS top management at the national and provincial level, on the scourge of GBVF as well as crimes directed at the LGBTQIA+ community.
This Imbizo is also aimed at promoting and improving relations between the SAPS and the community at large, through effective police-community relations.
