Integrated efforts between our law enforcement agencies about drug trafficking led to the arrest of a 44-year-old suspect for the possession of mandrax tablets on the N1 Paarl on Friday, 05 November 2021.
The members were busy on the N1 Highway when they stopped and searched a vehicle. They found a sealed plastic bag on the front seat of the vehicle and upon opening it, the members found it to be containing mandrax tablets. The bag contained a total of 1020 mandrax tablets.
The suspect was arrested and detained and once charged, will make a court appearance in the Paarl Magistrate’s court on Monday 8 November 2021.
