Robbers threatened to stab a 60-year-old female and her 51-year-old brother with a metal rod during a robbery at their home on Barrs Flats Road in Coniston, KZN this morning.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived at the residence. The female victim informed Reaction Officers that two suspects had broken the lock to a security gate and remove a glass panel from the front door before entering the house.
They confronted her and her younger brother who has a neurological disorder. Her sibling began screaming when the robbers threatened to stab them with a metal pipe. They then stole the female’s cellphone and a hi-fi before they jumped over the boundary wall and fled through a dense bush.
Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search for the robbers however no arrests are made.
