The owner of Mall Cafe on Wick Street in the Verulam CBD, KZN was held up by three armed suspects.
The victim was accosted by the robbers minutes after he locked the store. The suspects demanded cash and valuables from him before they smashed the front glass. The victim was then forced to open the store when stole an undisclosed amount of cash and his cellphone before they fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The victim then contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) for assistance. On arrival, the businessman informed Reaction Officers that all three suspects were armed and were all well dressed.
An extensive search was conducted for the robbers however no arrests were made.
