Brazen thieves open fire on homeowner in Waterloo

A shot was fired at a homeowner after he woke up to investigate noises on his property in Waterloo, KZN.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call from the victim reporting shots being fired at his home. Available Reaction Officers were dispatched to the property. On arrival, the man explained that he woke up to investigate noises in his yard. As he entered his kitchen he realized that someone was also tampering with the door. Without warning a shot was fired through his window.

Upon inspection of the property, it was discovered that the suspects had stolen the sound system and a chrome bull bar from a Toyota Quantum that was parked in the yard. The victim could not confirm how many suspects were involved in the incident.

No injuries were reported.
