A gold VW Golf 7 TSI that was one of two vehicles stolen during a home invasion in Waterloo, KZN was recovered by Reaction Officers.
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Center received a call for assistance after four individuals were robbed at a residence on Hawk Road. Available Reaction Officers were dispatched to the property. On arrival, officers were informed that two suspects entered the residence and held up three individuals.
The victims were forced into a bedroom where they were covered with a blanket. The suspects spent more than an hour in the house when the fourth victim arrived. He was also forced into the bedroom. The robbers stole valuables before they fled in the VW Golf 7 and a white VW Polo (registration unknown).
Information regarding the sought-after vehicles was circulated to all Reaction Officers. While on patrol in Waterloo – KZN, RUSA Officers recovered the VW Golf 7 abandoned on Aloe Drive. Information received was that the VW Polo was seen in Umlazi, KZN.
The victims were not injured.
