A 32 year old Malawian national was discovered by a jogger with multiple stab wounds along the M27 in the vicinity of Waterloo, KZN.
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Center received a call for assistance. On arrival, the intoxicated victim explained that he was walking home after a night of drinking when he was accosted by two suspects.
The robbers stabbed him twice on his back and once on his left arm before they stole R600 in cash, his cellphone, and groceries that he purchased earlier on in the day. The man collapsed on a grass verge next to the road and received assistance from the passerby this morning.
The victim was treated for his injuries on the scene before being transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
