A 29 year old habitual burglary suspect was arrested by a resident of Brindhaven, KZN after he attempted to steal from their Litchi Crescent in Brindhaven, KZN property a short while ago (Friday).
A foot chase ensued after the homeowner confronted the suspect. He was pursued to a service station where he was apprehended by the resident. Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out at approximately 11:07 by a passerby who noticed the commotion.
On arrival, RUSA Members identified the suspect as a habitual criminal. The Heroin addict was arrested in Mountview, KZN in December 2021 by Reaction Officers for a case of house break-in.
He spent two weeks in Westville Prison before he was released on bail.
The suspect is currently detained at the Verulam SAPS.
