On Monday, 24 January 2022 police in Gauteng apprehended two suspects, aged 38 and 40-years old, in Ekurhuleni following a house robbery incident.
A multi-disciplinary team comprising of members from Gauteng Highway Patrol, Johannesburg Flying Squad, JMPD, and EMPD operationalised information on a house robbery in progress.
The two suspects fled after they robbed a house in Boksburg, but were swiftly apprehended by the team in Elsburg and Tsakane respectively.
Police recovered two vehicles, electronic devices, clothes, and various other stolen property taken during the commission of the house robbery. An unlicensed firearm was also recovered.
The duo is facing charges of house robbery and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
