Vigilant members arrest three suspects and take firearms off the streets

This morning on 27 January 2022, two members of the Pretoria K9 unit were conducting patrols at Pretoria West when they noticed a suspicious-looking vehicle with three men inside. The vehicle was stopped and searched together with the occupants.

An AK 47 rifle with 154 rounds and a 9mm firearm with one magazine and 12 live rounds were discovered inside the vehicle. All three occupants were arrested for possession of unlicensed firearms and are expected to appear before court soon.
