SAPS Randfontein arrests a man for dealing in second-hand goods without a license and seizes over 3 tons of compacted copper

On Monday, 7 February 2022 members of SAPS Randfontein arrested a man for dealing in second-hand goods without a license.

The SAPS members also seized 3 tons of compacted copper.

Section 2 of the Second-Hand Goods Act, 2009 (Act No 6 of 2009) requires that any person who carries on a business of dealing in second-hand goods is compelled to register as a second-hand goods dealer.
