Glencoe Detectives are appealing to members of the community for assistance in locating a wanted suspect Bheki Buthelezi (47). It is suspected that Buthelezi might be in Empangeni.
It is alleged that on 11 February 2022 at 21:00, Siyabonga Buthelezi (23) was asleep in his house with his girlfriend at Sithembile Township in Glencoe, when the ex-boyfriend arrived. The ex-boyfriend kicked the door open and the girlfriend ran out of the house to get assistance from the neighbors. Buthelezi was stabbed in the neck and chest.
He managed to ran out of the yard to a house nearby where he fell and died shortly afterward. The suspect fled the scene after the incident and has been on the run since then. A case of murder is being investigated by Glencoe SAPS.
