The Provincial Commissioner of the Limpopo province, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has embraced a major breakthrough made by the members of the Provincial Organised Crime Unit together with Crime Intelligence following the apprehension of a 30-year-old suspect for allegedly dealing in drugs and Contravention of Immigration Act on Wednesday 16 February 2022 in Seshego, Extension 73 outside Polokwane.
Police received information about the suspect who was allegedly dealing drugs in the vicinity and immediately executed an intelligence-driven operation which led to his arrest.
The suspect was arrested at his rented house after being found in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R8000.00 concealed in the premises. Sachets containing crystal myth, nyaope, and a blender containing nyaope drugs were seized during the arrest.
An additional charge of Contravention of Immigration Act was also preferred against the suspect after it was discovered that he has been residing in the country illegally.
The suspect is expected to appear in Seshego Magistrate’s Court soon.
