Police at Hendrina is requesting the public to assist in locating the suspect (s) who failed to stop after an accident which resulted in a man’s death. Apparently, the victim was knocked over by an unknown vehicle and the driver thereof fled from the scene, leaving him helpless on the road.
The incident is said to have occurred on Monday, 28 February 2022 on the N11 road, between Hendrina and Middelburg. Information from the police reports reveals that members received information about a certain man seen lying on the road. Upon arrival, they found him lying down with multiple injuries and seemed to have been a victim of a ‘hit-and-run’. Emergency personnel was summoned to the scene and they certified the man dead.
The victim has not yet been identified yet and there was no form of identification. He was wearing a green jersey, a blue t-shirt, and black jeans.
