On Wednesday, 09 March 2022, an integrated operation between Crime Intelligence, Bonnievale, and Robertson SAPS led to the arrest of an adult foreign national when they received information about a black Mercedes Benz that is transporting drugs.
The information was operationalized and the vehicle was stopped and searched and 200 grams of crystal meth and 190 mandrax tablets were found in the vehicle. The suspect was arrested and detained on a charge of possession of drugs.
Once charged the suspect will appear in the Robertson Magistrates court on the mentioned charge.
Furthermore an integrated operation between Crime Intelligence, Mbekweni Crime Prevention Unit, and Boland K9 Unit, yesterday, landed two suspects aged 27 and 28 behind bars when they searched premises in Nozolile Street, Project Two, Mbekweni.
The members followed up information about drugs at an identified premises. The premises were searched and 452,1-gram tik, 124,35-gram mandrax powder, 442 whole mandrax tablets, 20 half mandrax tablets, nine quarter mandrax tablets and
an undisclosed amount of cash were confiscated.
Once charged the suspects are due to make a court appearance in the Paarl Magistrates court on possession of drugs charges.
