A man was stabbed to death after he was confronted by his work colleague’s boyfriend at a bar on Edmund Morewood Street in Trurolands – KZN this afternoon (Friday).
A member of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was on patrol in the area at approximately 20:18 when he noticed a man lying on the ground and a crowd gathered around.
The Reaction Officer stopped to investigate and noticed that the male was unresponsive. He then requested that an ambulance be dispatched to the scene. On arrival, Paramedics examined the male and found that he sustained a stab wound to his chest. He showed no signs of life and was pronounced deceased.
A female informed the Reaction Officer that she was having drinks with a work colleague at the bar when her boyfriend and his friend arrived. They accused her of having an affair with the man and an altercation broke out. One of the men broke a beer bottle and attacked the deceased. Both suspects then fled the scene on foot.
Reaction Officers searched for the suspects however they remain at large.
