Granville Adams(25) received a 20-year sentence for murder and housebreaking and theft in the Richmond Regional Court, recently.
On 12 June 2021 at about 13:30 the accused broke into the house of a 68-year-old male victim in Richmond.
The accused stole some valuables and strangled the disabled victim to death with a trouser.
Police followed up on information and arrested Adams, four days later.
Police opposed bail and the accused remained in prison up until his recent sentence.
