Nisha Bajalall (mobile 0659132504) the sister of the missing man contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) seeking Air Support in locating her missing brother after spending five (5) days searching for him unsuccessfully. Bajalall resides in Khayaletshia Road in Welbedaucht – Chatsworth. During the flooding on Monday, his nieghbours building collapsed onto his house. Both homes crumbled and were swept down a ravine. He has not been seen since. A Missing Persons Report has been filed at Chatsworth SAPS.
The RUSA Helicopter Pilot & Crew have been called out to several locations in Kwazulu Natal since Monday to search for missing persons, rescue the stranded & airlift bodies from inaccessible terrain.
This week the aircraft spent several hours grounded due to poor visibility & heavy rainfall.
