Five armed men stormed a garage in Cottonlands- Kwazulu Natal this morning taking ten cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance from a motorist who almost collided with the suspect’s getaway vehicle this morning. He then drove into the garage and noticed an attendant injured by the suspects.
Reaction Officers arrived on the scene at Global Service Station and were informed that the one suspect gained entry by identifying himself as a staff member. Four other armed suspects then forced their way into the building and attempted to break open the drop safe. When they failed, they pistol-whipped an attendant on his head and fled.
CCTV equipment was ripped off the wall by the suspects.
