Recovery operation in Chatsworth/Welbedacht

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was called out Welbedacht in Chatsworth and Inanda – Kwazulu Natal to search for the bodies of 60-year-old Javishwar Bajalall and 33-year-old Phumlile Penelope Mseleje who have swept away during the floods.

Both Bajalall & Mseleje have not been located since Monday 11/04/2022. The Pilot and Crew were kitted up with self-inflating life jackets and flew out to the Inanda Dam, Mzinyathi River, and Mlazi River and conducted a low-level flight in search.

The search was unsuccessful.
