A 29-year-old Lin Ping was granted an R2000.00 bail upon appearance in the Molopo Magistrates’ Court in Mmabatho on Wednesday, 18 May 2022, in connection with possession of suspected stolen goods.
According to information at our disposal, the accused was apprehended on Monday, 16 May 2022, by the stabilisation team members in Ngaka Modiri Molema in collaboration with a Private Investigator (PI) from Gauteng Province. That was after Lin Ping’s wholesale in Mahikeng was searched and suspected stolen goods discovered. Subsequent to the search, items like microwave ovens, electric kettles, stoves, radios, drill machines, and cooler boxes worth R500 000.00 were confiscated after being positively identified.
Investigation into the matter continues.
The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena applauded the Dr Ngaka Modiri Molema District Stabilization Team members for working together with the Private Investigator in ensuring that the accused was arrested.
