A resident of Shari Drive in Everest Heights – KZN discovered that his fridge was struck by a stray bullet.
The homeowner contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) yesterday afternoon after he discovered a bullet in his fridge. On arrival, he informed Reaction Officers that on Sunday he found his kitchen window shattered. He assumed that one of the residents in the area was scaring off monkeys with a slingshot and accidentally damaged his window. He replaced the window on Monday morning.
Yesterday, he noticed a hole in the side of his fridge and upon further investigation located the bullet. He recalled hearing multiple shots being fired in the area on Sunday morning.
It could not be confirmed who fired the shots.
