Paramedics from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) declared a 25-year-old male deceased at 20:30 (Saturday 18 June 2022) in Waterloo – Kwazulu Natal.
The body of Samkelo Mazamo was discovered by residents inside a home on Spinach Road after they heard multiple gunshots go off. The RUSA Operations Center received the call for assistance at approx 20:24. Reaction Officers arrived on the scene and discovered Mazamo laying on the floor in a bedroom. Six (6) spent 9mm cartridges were found in the vicinity. Paramedics found that the victim was shot seven (7) times on his face, neck, arm and chest.
The identity of the shooter & the motive remains unknown.
