A 41-year-old woman was stabbed during an attempted robbery on Moss Street outside Capitec Bank in the Verulam CBD – KZN.
Witnesses contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) requesting assistance for the female.
On arrival, it was established that the pedestrian was walking to her place of employment when she was accosted by the robber who attempted to steal her handbag.
A struggle ensued when the suspect stabbed her on her wrist.
He fled empty-handed.
The female was treated for her injury on the scene before being transported to the hospital by ambulance.
