A 28-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot in the head on Malendela Road in KwaMashu – KZN this morning (Saturday).
A passerby contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at 05:38 requesting assistance for the injured male. Reaction Officers and RUSA Medics were immediately dispatched and on arrival found the victim lying in a pool of blood on the side of the road. He sustained a gunshot wound to his head. He was stabilised on the scene by Medics before being rapidly transported to the hospital in a critical condition.
Circumstances surrounding the shooting was not established.
