Around 12:30pm today ALS Paramedics received multiple calls of a multiple vehicle collision on the N2 North Bound after the M1 Higginson Highway.
On arrival Paramedics found multiple vehicles involved in a collision. A Truck, a Bakkie and 3 vehicles were involved in the crash.
One person was entrapped in the wreckage and Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilize him before removing him from the vehicle. A further Three people had also sustained injuries ranging from Minor to moderate.
Once all of the injured had been stabilized on the scene they were transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
Traffic was severely affected as most of the Highway was obstructed.
SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating the cause of this collision.
