The 72-hour activation plan was implemented following the death of a 44-year-old woman at Nomzamo Township between Sunday night, 18 September 20222, and Monday morning 19 September 2022.
Police attended the scene where the body of a woman was found with multiple stab wounds.
The circumstances surrounding the gruesome murder as well as the suspect are unknown at this stage.
A case of murder is under investigation.
