Two gold chains were ripped from the neck of a 56-year-old woman during a home invasion on Ocean Ridge Road in Trenance Park – KZN today (Friday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the property at approximately 10:38. On arrival it was established that four armed suspects de-railed the driveway gate (picture 2) and entered the yard. One of the suspects approached the front door, pointed a firearm at a female and instructed her to unlock the security gate.
Once inside the house, the robbers forced four children aged between 6 & 15 as well as four adults to lay on the floor. They ripped two gold chains from the neck of one of the victims and ordered her to remove her gold earrings. The suspects then ransacked the house and stole 2 tv’s, laptops, an undisclosed amount of jewellery and other household items. The stolen goods were loaded into a silver VW Polo (registration unknown) which sped off in an unknown direction.
The victims were not injured.
