Two stolen Vodacom Cell phone tower batteries were recovered by JMPD Freeway Unit in Newclare.
Officers had chased the vehicle from Randburg to Newclare where the suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene after crashing into a fence.
The vehicle with false plates was seized and booked in at the SAPS Aeroton pound for further investigation.
