Streets to be affected by annual Tshwane cycling event

The City of Tshwane is opening its roads to cyclists on 6 November 2022 for mass participation in a single-day road race over distances of 99 km and 50 km. This year, there will be a brand new spectator-friendly route that will start at the Voortrekker Monument and finish at Rodger Dyason Road.

Streets will be affected from 04:00 to 18:00. Tshwane Metro Police Department officers will be deployed to monitor all road closures and affected streets.

Streets in the following areas will be affected:

• Groenkloof
• Irene
• Centurion
• Rooihuiskraal
• Hennops River Meander
Affected streets include the following:
• Eeufees Road
• Christina de Wit Avenue
• M36 Alexandra Road
• Transoranje Road
• N4 Magalies Highway
• Rooihuiskraal Road
• Ruimte Road
• R55
• Apiesdoring Avenue
• Spinetail Street
• Voortrekker Road
• Industrial Road
• Pretoria Main Road
• Roger Dyason Road
• Nellmapius Drive
• R511
The following alternative routes can be used in the affected areas:
• R21 and Ben Schoeman Highway
• Jean Avenue
• Wierda Road and Saxby Avenue
• Trichardt Road and Cradock Avenue
• Trichardt Road and Clifton Avenue
