Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) are currently searching for a dark blue Toyota Corolla with an NH (New Hanover) registration.
A Reaction Officer was on patrol on Church Street in the vicinity of the Tongaat CBD – KZN when he was flagged down by a truck driver. The man informed the Officer that the sought-after vehicle stopped on the pavement.
The driver opened the trunk and allegedly raised his voice at someone instructing them not to exist. He then slammed the trunk closed and sped off.
When interviewed, the driver confirmed that he did not have a clear view of the trunk but believed that a person was being held against their will.
No further information was made available with the exception that the driver’s window was covered with a bin of plastic and held in place with cellophane tape.
This information could not be verified however all partners in Law Enforcement have been advised to be on the lookout.
