Four suspects aged between 23 and 36 were arrested early today and three firearms with ammunition were seized by Barberton Police during an intelligence driven operation at Badplaas crossing.
The arrested suspects face charges of unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
The firearms will be subjected to ballistic testing to determine whether they were not used in other crimes committed elsewhere. Police at this stage cannot rule out the possibility of adding more charges against the suspects as the investigation continues.
