On this day, 7 December 2022, ATNS joins the world’s family of nations to celebrate the International Civil Aviation Day (#ICAD). This year’s theme is: “Advancing Innovation for Global Aviation Development”.
Our contribution to the global aviation industry’s quest for enhanced innovation is to add our voice to the call to review and redefine some of air travel’s modern efficiencies. Be it Air Traffic Management, Air Passenger Travel, or the regulation of Civil Aviation, innovative technological efficiencies are essential to redefining what is now known as new mobility.
There are unprecedented aviation innovations such as Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Alternative Fuels/Zero-Fuel Aircraft – just to name a few, which offer unmatched potential when it comes to the transformation of the current and future mobility systems.
For the past few years, ATNS has partnered with academia and leading research and development institutions to strengthen its research and development and innovation capacity. We have formed strategic alliances with leading global Air Traffic Management solutions companies and organisations as well as other international Air Navigation Service Providers to ensure that no one – and indeed no country – is left behind.
The South African aviation industry has an unparalleled reputation for maintaining an excellent aviation safety record, a fact that gives the country a competitive advantage when it comes to attracting both tourists and international trade. We are ready to welcome visitors from across the globe during this holiday season.
