Puppies rescued from a drain in Riverview

A litter of puppies that fell into a stormwater drain shortly after they were born was rescued by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) on Estuary Drive in Riverview – KZN.

The owner of the canine contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) after their dog gave birth and her litter fell approximately 2 meters into the drain.

Reaction Officers removed the cover, climbed down the shaft, and rescued five puppies.

The puppies were not injured.
