A resident of Primrose Drive in Southridge – KZN contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) for assistance at approximately 08:41 this morning (Saturday) after he discovered an injured monkey on his property.
On arrival, RUSA Members discovered the baby Vervet monkey on the driveway. It’s legs and pelvis appeared fractured. He also sustained a laceration below his neck. Officers transported the injured monkey to RUSA HQ.
He will be handed over to an organisation that specialises in rescuing injured Vervet monkeys.
