Public assistance is required to locate 26-year-old Yashodree Govender.
Govender’s aunt contacted RUSA this afternoon requesting assistance to locate her. According to the caller, the missing female forwarded a voice note to her brother-in-law yesterday morning. RUSA is in possession of the 51-second voice note. The emotional female can be heard threatening suicide. The voice note is extremely sensitive and will not be shared with the public.
According to her aunt, Govender has been a victim of domestic violence for several years. She believes that this may be the reason her niece has fled her home in Clayfield-Phoenix and is threatening to end her life. Govender was spotted on Ireland Street in the Verulam CBD – KZN at approximately 09:00 this morning. The mother of two was dressed in a burgundy top, blue jeans, and black takkies.
