Last night, members of the Maitland Flying Squad received information about drugs that were at an address in Parow. The house was searched and members seized Tik valued at R 5 500-00, Cocaine with an estimated street value of R 27 000-00 and an undisclosed amount of cash. Two suspects aged 28 and 29 were arrested and detained at Parow SAPS on a case of possession and dealing in drugs.
The suspects will appear in the Bellville Magistrates court on Monday morning.
In an unrelated matter, on Thursday, 09 March 2023 at approximately 23:30, members of Harare Operation Restore accompanied by Crime Intelligence raided a house at Bonakude Crescent, Makhaza. They found a male and his two sons and they searched the house. Members found six rounds of ammunition in the wardrobe as well as 13 suspected stolen cellular telephones, one FNB Speed point machine and an undisclosed amount of coins in small, transparent plastic bags. The members proceeded to search the yard where they found a white Mazda Drifter LDV that was positively linked to a theft of motor vehicle case registered in Stellenbosch.
The owner of the house was arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of illegal ammunition and possession of suspected stolen property. The stolen motor vehicle was seized and booked in as an exhibit.
Once charged the suspect will appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates Court on the mentioned charges.
