Mpumalanga Premier led a joint operation on the N4 Toll Road in Mbombela.

Mpumalanga Premier Ms Refilwe Mtsweni-Tsipane has today led a joint operation on the N4 Toll Road in Mbombela.

The Premier was accompanied by Community Safety, Security and Liaison MEC Vusi Shongwe, Public Works, Roads and Transport MEC Mandla Ndlovu and Acting Mpumalanga SAPS Commissioner Major General Zeph Mkhwanazi.

The operation was in a form of a roadblock to ensure the safety of road users who are traveling to various destinations for the holiday tomorrow or for other reasons.

The roadblock was also part of the activities currently taking place in the province by the Provincial Security Cluster amid the National Shutdown to ensure safety of communities.

Provincial Traffic Officers, Transport Inspectorate Officers, various units of SAPS, Mbombela Traffic Officers, and other stakeholders were part of the roadblock.
