Members of SAPS Temba arrested a 31-year-old suspect in the early hours of this morning, 22 March 2023 at Carousel View North for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition following a community tip-off.
According to a preliminary report, the members were out on a routine crime prevention patrol when they obtained information and proceeded to the identified address.
Upon arrival at the said address, the members conducted a search which led to the recovery of two unlicensed firearms with ammunition hidden inside a computer tower.
The firearms will be subjected to a ballistic test to determine whether they can be linked to other serious crimes committed.
