Residents from the Hillgrove area in Newlands worked together with the Cleansing and Solid Waste Unit for a clean-up in ward 37.
An educational drive on proper waste management was also held during the clean-up.
The following streets were cleaned Sandhill Place, Shorthill Place, and Springhill Place with 80 refuse bags collected. Residents are urged to refrain from illegal dumping and littering as it negatively affects the environment and the health of the public.
Keeping the environment clean is a collective responsibility.
