A Mozambican national was fatally shot during a hijacking in Parkgate – KZN this afternoon (Friday).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received multiple calls from the public at approximately 20:33. On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered the lifeless body of a man lying on the side of the road.
It was established that the deceased was repairing the radio on the vehicle when three suspects approached him. Three shots were fired before the robbers sped off in his silver Toyota Hilux double cab bakkie with registration KG 93 VR – GP (picture 2). It could not be confirmed if the owner of the vehicle was present during the shooting. Three spent 9mm cartridges were recovered.
