Deputy President’s oversight visit to eThekwini

South Africa’s Deputy President Paul Mashatile is leading a high-powered delegation on a two-day oversight visit to KwaZulu Natal to engage with various stakeholders in sectors such as education, agriculture, and commerce and industry, among others.

He led an outreach programme today as part of the roll-out of the District Development Model.
Accompanying him on the visit is KwaZulu-Natal Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube and eThekwini Mayor Councillor Mxolisi Kaunda.

The Deputy President visited the R15 billion Westown catalytic development in Shongweni. This development highlights the City’s partnership with various stakeholders in the implementation of programmes that support local communities.
